visit to the pain cave and other semi-related disasters...
so i had to finally hit the pain cave last night to get my time in. i didn't get outside at lunch and i knew it would be tough. so far through november, i've only had to do a short recovery spin on the trainer...that doesn't really count. well, last night...after cleaning up the disaster the two doggies made from knocking down the gate i made my way to the cave. before we get too much in to that, meet Rocco and Bella in september:
now meet Rocco and Bella in November:
Bella is starting to teeth and she wants to chew on everything and everyone, particularly Javan. this week Bella passed Rocco in weight and she eats more than double Rocco’s portion. more on their escape story…we put up the tree on Sunday being the Sunday after thanksgiving and even had a few presents wrapped. when I walked in the house, there was wrapping paper all over the place, shoes dragged everywhere, and the kids found that one of the dogs (probably Rocco the crafty boy) ate the entire bowl of cat food, among other things. they are great though…they had worn themselves out enough that the rest of the night they took it easy.
Now that you’ve met the pups we can get on with the pain cave. I have been dreading returning to the trainer in the basement. I spent most of June there doing training while covered in silver sulfadiazine and wrapped in gauze…that nostalgia just isn’t fun. The pain cave visit last night wasn’t all that painful since we’re still in base1 and once the two hours were over I thought, “that wasn’t too bad.” However, after a week on the TT bike I’ve about had it altogether. Oh yes…another fun story to relate.
So I’ve been on the TT bike since last Wednesday. Why, you ask? It’s not like there’s some big TT event coming up or anything. Well, last Tuesday evening, I drove the car in the garage…with the bike on the car!!! Jade and Javan were in the back seat and when they realized what happened, they quietly exited the car and walked inside, knowing the level of distress I was in. I sat there with my head on the steering wheel for about 10 minutes and then Dona reminded me about our homeowner’s insurance. It took me a while to laugh about it, but it is pretty funny. I’ve been driving around with bikes on the roof rack for 15 years and never even come close to doing that.
Enough of all this. Let’s move on to…the next interview subject! I don’t have anyone lined up, except for #1 and I can’t even remember the questions I asked him. I’m sure when he responds he’ll write up his own questions and answer them himself. So, if you have any suggestions on who to throw into the interview fire, let me know. Make your suggestion public here in the comments section or email me covertly at bikezilla@gmail.com and we’ll go from there. I have a few ideas myself.
I wonder what #1 is up to right now…
