back from the dead...blog dead i mean
good day dhblog viewers. i'm excited to resurrect the blog...it never really died. i just have been wrapped up with other stuff. namely, getting the race bikes rolling. the new S-Works TT bike underwent major surgery. it even looks fast with no air in the tires. here it is with the latest setup:

the S-Works Tarmac is riding super sweet and i just glued some tires on the carbon rims. they are ready to race. speaking of racing, Valley of the Sun, leaving tomorrow morning! i have to say i'm super excited about this one. the winter training has gone great. no bouts of pneumonia, no pavement/skin compatibility testing, just good solid winter miles. if you haven't been on one of our saturday group rides, you are missing out. they are typically 4+ hours and we've had the great fortune to have lots of wind. the cold days have been tolerable and the speed has usually been very fast. starbucks at 13th east and union park avenue. find yourself there one of these next saturdays.
speaking of upcoming saturdays, the RMR is about to make its annual return. this adds to the excitement of heading south to Phoenix this weekend. racing! i'm looking forward to the long saturdays in march. my usual march saturday schedule is ride to RMR, race, and then ride an additional 2 to 3 hours. ouch! i might think that right now, but when it's a saturday in march i am all kinds of excited.
on to dhblog viewer contests. Debbie Meyer schooled everyone with her musical know-how and came up with the band whose song i referenced in last entry. the reference, "that cloven-hoofed gangster the devil", comes from a Camper Van Beethoven song from way back. thanks Debbie for lighting that one up.
the favorite race photo contest is in full force also. Jeff Clawson, aka The Claw, submitted his favorite racing photo. i've never seen him in this kit before personally, but he swears it is him:

alright viewers, keep these photos coming! maybe one of our local bike-related-businesses can step up and offer some prize sponsorship for this photo contest. i know that getting props is one thing, but goods and services always motivates! again, email photos to the official dhblog email bikezilla@gmail.com and get yourself up in lights!
i know i won't have any race updates posted here mid-race. you gotta be a high roller like RB to be kickin' it like that. i'll hopefully have some good stories to tell when i get back from Valley of the Sun.
may the force be with you.
