Coffee & Ibuprofen make the world go 'round
I don’t know how RB can swing it. I’ve tried to stop on the black gold before and it just can’t be done. The kids just think that coffee is a lifestyle based on our consumption. RB, I’ll lend you a hand…you can transfer all of your Beans and Brews House Card points to my card…just to avoid the temptation.
The RMR last night was a blast. The Porcupine/Specialized crew made it happen…in both A & B flites. It’s always great to pull off some great teamwork and get the win. I’m always looking forward to sitting in front of the gas station drinking a 24. On Sunday, we stopped at the gas station north of TGP and Bad MF said, “we’ve put away some cold ones at this gas station.” Oh yeah!
Speaking of coffee, the district TT is this weekend. I’ve got a couple of secret weapons that I really want to talk about, but then they wouldn’t be secret. I think the form is coming back so I’m getting really excited. I’m not really familiar with the course, but it doesn’t really matter as long as I can get myself in pain cave mode. I talked to The Claw last week and I think besides the Stampede, he’s probably been exclusively on the TT bike. Listening to him talk about his motivation for it gets me motivated. The Claw rocks!
OK, the good news is I think I’m close to not having to have a constant flow of ibuprofen in me. Yesterday was one of the worst days and I’m not quite sure why. Each of the wounds, especially the two on my knee, seemed to be on fire. They’re healing nicely, but they were not happy yesterday. As an aside, apparently Miatchaslav got a sweet photo out at the Stampede of me going up to the finish with bandage-blowout-gunk streaming down my leg. Sweet! Today is not too bad fortunately. I read T-Bird’s post TdGila entries and figured I needed to get some music going on the iTunes and it’s done the trick.
