Let me hear you say YEAH!
Well I almost had Dozza bring me the bike yesterday afternoon so I could hit the DMV. Then I thought better of it when she suggested I schedule a massage. The legs have been heavy for a while now and every time I get a massage I have said not to dig in too deep. Last night was time for some serious work. I think it was actually more painful than the effort at DMV. I’ve been pounding the water last night and this morning and I think I’m just not going to feel very good today. I’m just looking forward to feeling rested and ready to rumble again next week.
I was talking to PeteK at the awards party after High Uinta’s this past Sunday and was telling him how it was only a few weeks ago that I figured out that his dad rode with Team E.F.F.O.R.T. back in the day and that we would see young PeteK out on the trails with his dad. We’re talking quite a ways back. This is when Sly was on a tear that no one could match and the Wednesday night ride left from Stout Cycles by the U. Brought back some great memories for sure. The A-Train led these rides with a crazy crowd of followers. The foothills behind the U were the playground for the group. Most rides ripped through campus, Red Butte Gardens, Roller Coaster, Dry Creek, Bobsled, Ensign Peak and would typically finish on a return course through campus taking us over all the rollers to catch big air. Fun and games from the old days. Not to get all nostalgic, but it’s great to see many of the same faces from those days still out throwing down.
On the musical note, work is being motivated thanks to: Black Tambourine, Archer Prewitt, The Sea and Cake, and The Cato Salsa Experience.
Tip of the week: watch and learn how the A-Train races.
