Prone to triggering international outrage
preparations for saturday's Porcupine hillclimb are on thanks to Lev from the Czech Republic. i figure i need all the carbs i can get after burning numerous matches this past weekend at the Gate City Grind. the turn-out was decent for the Grind, but not what it should be. it's quite similar to the DMV A-flite race. it is a great race, but not enough people show up. by the way, race the DMV tonight! i'm headed there soon. it rained nice and hard earlier, but i think we'll have clear skies tonight.
there's not much exciting going on this week. i finally feel like i'm getting some form back after a weekend of super hard racing. we'll see how it goes tonight at the DMV and then tomorrow night at Saltair. come on out and see if you can go faster than the mosquitos. again, this weekend is the Porcupine Hillclimb and the Chalk Creek Road Race on sunday. both of these are put on by the Porcupine Cycling Club and the Hillclimb benefits cancer research. i've heard rumblings that we'll be racing against some of the heavy hitters prepping for upcoming tough races.
also, we'll have contest results by the end of the week. keep your fingers crossed and make sure to add your submissions. no one came close on the Tour picks, but our contest judges will attempt to choose a winner. you've still got time to submit replacement expletives. get your entry in for some sweet prizes.
