I have merged the UCA site under the CS (community server) parent site. So the UCA and CS all will share the same theme, look, feel and authentication/authorization. And no, I wont be using the default CS theme. :-)

Blogs
Your blog URL's will be changing: http://www.cycleutah.com/cs/blogs/turboryan will become http://www.cycleutah.com/blogs/turboryan. I will setup a temporary redirector however, so nothing should break.

Another possibility would be http://blogs.cycleutah.com/turboryan, or maybe even http://turboryan.cycleutah.com. Anyway, let me know what you guys think.

Also, if you did not notice, there are a bunch of new themes availalbe for your blog. Check them out sometime, some are really nice.

As always, if your interested in a blog here at CycleUtah.com, let me know and i'll hook you up.

Results
I'm about 90% complete on the new results input system, so importing results should be really slick and easy for Todd next season. Also the way we display results are changing in a big way, I'm moving away from a Calendar type view to a more complete view like OBRA's result page.

Windows Live Writer

Want an easy way to post "posts" on your blog? (Dish Network is out, no OLN anymore) I'm not much into TV, but I thought maybe the DVR would change that. So I go to order the system and the nice person on the other end informs me I am required to have a land based phone line in order for the DVR to recieve programming. WTF is up with that? Ever heard of the internet? Last I heard we are half way to 2010! I dont have a land based phone line, its 2005 and we use mobile phones these days. Why cant they use an internet connection (like everything else). Here are a few bonuses that come to the top of my head:

Faster downloads of the programming, less interuption.

Larger programming downloads, users can schedule shows *way* in advance.

Cheaper for DirectTV, they dont have to pay the 1-800 phone call costs that the DVR's make when they call home.

For those with land lines, it would not disable your land line while downloading programming. Or interupt existing voice calls.

Sure there is more...

Anyway, it looks like ReplayTV and Tivo (Which DirectTV uses BTW) both have DVRs that use broadband. Tivo even has a wireless option, so I could use with with my wireless network. Wont have to run ethernet up to the TV. Now to decide which one... more later.
