Straight Outta PROvo...

Blogging is so '06. Blog-quitting is this years' blogging.
Fart Louderdale, thE-rok-Malone conspiracy, and much much more goodness...
Yeah, I am heading off to Fort Lauderdale for the weekend. For work, so no bikey-bikey. Still, the forecast is mid 70's and sunny every day, so I like that. I already posted this at eriksaunders.com, so I guess this is sorta like re-gifting, but instead it's re-blogging. We had the LRC banquet the other night, and we watched "Pro". As soon as Saunders comes on the screen everyone in the room goes "It's Karl Malone!!". I guess Karl Malone is pretty famuos around here and, I can see where they are coming from, but the number of peoplewho have said this amazes me. I think he is way more like the Karl Malone bobblehead doll, than he is the actual Karl Malone. On that note, I have copies of "The Hard Road" and "Pro" for sale. $20 for the pair or $12 each and all the money goes to Jenny and Odessa Butler. Good stuff to watch on the trainer. Or if you are me, good stuff to watch and get all weepy eyed thinking about big time bike racing again while you eat a tub of Haagen-Daz. Not sure if he is a reader, but thanks to all deities that Free Bird is still blogging!! Barrett out.

Hey, I should have mentioned that Jamie Paolinetti was kind enough to donate these movies when he heard about Allan's passing. If you don't know who JP is, he is a darn good bike racer who used to lead out Malcolm Elliot on LA Sheriff's. Then he quit for awhile before racing on NetZero and Schroeder Iron, when he managed to win the biggest money crit in the country two years in a row with one of the smallest pro teams... Yeah, he is pretty freaking good. Notice that I said is and not was. Also, he is the man behind these movies, and if I know anything about big time bike racing (we can debate this later), I mostly owe it to him.

Hey,
I'm pretty sure my wife wants to buy me those DVD's (?) for Christmas. I know because just yesterday we were walking out of Media Play with "The Hard Road" (they didn't have "Pro") when the power went out.

I'll email you.
