Resolutions...and stuff
I'm not normally one for New Year's Resolutions because it seems like if you want to make a change, why wait 'til New Year's. And if you don't WANT to make the change, it isn't going to happen, as many, many non-active gym members can attest.
Therefore, my one resolution for Triple-0-6 is to be better. Yeah, I just want to be better at everything. Is that too much to ask?
In other news, I sold off the old bike (code name: Big Pink) and picked up the new bike (code name: The Silver Bullet) over the weekend. I haven't ridden the new bike yet, as I am waiting for some sweet parts to come in and want to keep those to be replaced as new for sales purposes. The new bike looks freaking awesome, however. The last time I rode a Cannondale was 2002 when I had probably my best season ever, which is not saying all that much, except that I am psyched to be on a Cannondale again.
The Provo ride was off the hook Saturday as a big bunch of BYU guys showed up. They ran the gamut from regular riders to a dude on a mountain bike with flat pedals. I know that guy had to have ridden at least a couple hours on that thing too. That is awesome. I hope these guys will keep coming out.
Sunday I usually do my own thing (ie- sleep), but I got pulled out by the dirty mountain bikers. They like to stop for coffee every 20 minutes for six hours, but I finally cracked and left them in Payson. This is not to downplay the incredible generosity of the dirty mountain bikers as they bought me coffee and a sandwich; I just couldn't legitimize being gone all day both days if I wasn't actually riding. Basically, I felt like an ass for leaving Kelly and Haley at home, while I hung out at coffee shops for hours on end. That's probably enough of my personal life for today.
Best of luck with your resolutions and if you didn't make any, good on ya'.
