2006 Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 24, 2006 Salt Lake City, UT 2006 Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah "America’s Hardest Bike Race" World class professional cycling is coming to Utah August 7-12, 2006 at the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah. The event consists of a six day, nearly six hundred mile stage race, and is being backed by the Larry H. Miller Group, owners of the Utah Jazz NBA franchise, and the Utah State Sports Commission. The event will be covered for 30 minutes each night by local television network KJZZ, and will feature a $40,000 prize purse for Professional and Category 1 men. Billed as "America’s Hardest Bike Race", the event will utilize the close proximity of downtown venues and high altitude climbs to create an extremely challenging and exciting race. Stages have been proposed for downtown Salt Lake City, the Miller Motor Park, Provo, Mt. Nebo, Park City, and a final stage of over 115 miles with nearly 17,000 feet of climbing. Race Director, Jason Preston states, "We are honored to have the Larry H. Miller Group on board for our event. Our aim is to bring all of the top US domestic teams to Utah to do battle on our unrelenting climbs". Even more disapointing than that the site wasn't up when they did the press release, is seeing the sight once it was up.
I kind of doubt if RB has anything to do with it. It is fun to blame him, though.

The site will be updated, I promise. Keep in mind the race is aways off. Did you see the Tour of CA (Not to compare our race to theirs) site 6 months ago?? Didn't think so.
