VeloNews-Always Calling Me...
So, I get a call from VeloNews last night... Now, I know this is a surprise to some of you, but they really don't call me up all the time. Anyway, they are doing a story about grassroots racing or something, and want to know about good and bad experiences I've had, and particularly about Chris Lotts and CBR. Now, what I meant to say is that "Chris has been successful for two reason. One he listens to the riders, as evidenced by all of his crits being 100k for Pro 1-2 guys this year. And two, he makes new riders feel welcome. Everyone is a part of things, and everyone is a target for being made fun of at the same time, if that makes any sense. " Now, this blog may not show it, but I can usually write fairly legibly. However, when it comes to talking (especially on the phone) I sometimes have a harder time making sense. So the moral of the story is this, look for a quote from me in an upcoming VeloNews along the lines of "Chris Lotts- Fat and funny. Most old and new bikers like him and his 10000km criterium races".
In other news, Saul Raisin won a stage at Langkawi and that's cool.
