You Know What Sucks??
What sucks is that I have a schweet new Cannondale 6-13 sitting at home. This is a hot machine that is ready to rock. Unfortunately, it is ONLY a 60 cm, so I am waiting for a bigger one. I can't wait. What sucks worse is the bike that I am currently riding. Yeah, it was kind of fun to reminisce on the 'ole NetZero machine, but as we are getting close to the "season" it would be nice to be on something that odds are won't fall apart on any given ride. There's no way to do justice to the GT I am currently on, but let's start with the frame being cracked. Yeah, a big crack around the seat collar. I always break bikes there. Also, there is the matter of the late-90's era Ultegra grouppo with the mandatory missing shifter cap. Then, there's the fact that it has a XTR crankset with a 36-48 set-up. I outfitted this machine with some celeste bar wrap I probably won as a prime when I was 14 or something, and of course, it has not bar plugs. Since I am a commuter, it has a big a light and a "I Heart My Bike" bell where most racers have some combo of Powermeter, GPS, Computer and Heart rate monitor. I should also point out that I've done the lasts 200 miles or so with a broken spoke... In each wheel.
