Sour Grapes
Ok, so, checking out some "other" blogs out there, I feel compelled to explain our teams' tactics at Bear Lake. Some teams don't like to share this kind of info, but it is no secret with us, and is pretty straight forward: Keep looking for the "right" combination where we "know" we are going to win, then drive the hell out of that break. If we have to settle for a combination we aren't happy with, whoever represents our team has to do WHATEVER (w/o breaking rules, obviously) is required to win the race. Sometimes these tactics don't work out in our favor, this time they did. We aren't out there to prove how strong we are by driving a break that doesn't suit us, and getting beat at the line, as much as you might like that. I sense that this bothers a lot of people, but this is pretty much the same line every team I've ever been on has walked. Short story shorter, we are their to win. If we wanted to show everyone how strong we are, we could just go to group rides.
Oh yeah, Elder Sleevie has joined the dark side.
Oh yeah (again), I am off the wagon.
