Straight Outta PROvo...

Blogging is so '06. Blog-quitting is this years' blogging.
Summit Center, The Pressure, Momses House, Patios, and um, yeah, whatever.
I did, in fact, manage to complete the Summit Center Stage Race over the weekend. I won't delve too much into it, as there wasn't a lot of excitement in my racing. Maybe I was longing to hang out with the family down the hill in Sedona, I don't know, but I wasn't "myself" until the last stage. During this 85 mile roller, I made the early move and drove it and ended up being the last one caught out of it (maybe 10 miles to go) and generally felt good. However, no significant result was accomplished, so I won't go into any more details. I think I pretty much only started the last stage to try and eek out some form for this weeks state road race. Hopefully, it worked. The Utah State Road Race World Championships happen to fall this saturday June 3, known worldwide as the day that RB came screaming into the world. Not a day late, not a day early, but on time. I should also point out that I am the defending champeen and that I've never lost on this course. It's only 2 for 2, but still that is pretty solid for a chump like me. So yeah, I'm feeling the pressure. I'll not speak more of this, except to say that I don't care who wins as long as their shirt matches mine. Back to Arizona, outside of the racing (which was also good), I had a great time hanging out with my Mom and her husband Ken. I don't call him my step-dad or anything like that as I was married before they were, but yeah, we are close. Anyway, good times hanging out, swimming in the pool, feeling the vortexes, and consuming huge amounts of food. Sedona is a great new-age tourist trap. I missed the best comment of the weekend, when a salesman asked my mom who was passing his storefront on the sidewalk "How long are you in town for?" She answered, "The rest of our lives". No eye contact, no stopping or even slowing of the gait, just smooth. I think that pretty well shut 'em down. Came home to find that our new patio (which was to be finished before we left, but wasn't) was finished in a piss poor fashion, clearly not up to snuff with the dollar amount spent. So I got that going for me, which isn't so nice. Sorry if there are no spaces between paragraphs, that's just how my work computer puts 'em up. RB

At least it appears the conspiracy to keep the conspiracy against me quiet is over.
