Because I Got High Uintas
Before I start this post, I have a note for the guy I just saw in the bathroom. PLEASE, wash your hands. Seriously, I know it is a busy world we live in and time is of the essence, but I really don't want to touch that doorknob ever again.
High Uintas didn't go according to plan. I sucked it up big time in the road race. For my out of state brethren, the race goes over a 10,800' pass. Anyway, I just wasn't good. I guess I was being loud in my little group at the end. If I made you mad, sorry. It's nothing personal. I was just tired and wanted to be done. I was better in the TT, and had awesome legs for the crit, but I still got beat. That sucks. I think Stormin Norman's new nickname will be abNorm, as he put out an abnormally large amount of power for such a little dude in the TT. Congrats to Normie. On another note, there was a lot of inter-Utah drama that played into the hands of some Colorado guys. That is lame. I don't want any part of it. We are all dorky bike riders in tight pants. I don't care if we yell at each other during the race, but when we are done, get over it and play nice.
Other than that, I am getting the team guilt trip over doing the Pocatello stage race in a couple weeks. It seems J-Rad is getting married that weekend and taking half the team with him, and what with me being one of our top guys for the UCA Overall, it makes sense that I would go. However, I never planned on going for the UCA Overall (which is not to say I don't want to win it), and furthermore that is a 3 day deal and my wife is 9 months pregnant. It's kind of a tough sell, see?? Speaking of which, we are not set on a name. What do you like better; Haven Hope Barrett, or Morgan Hope Barrett?
On a final note, regarding my post last week about a job. I have only had like 7 offers and none of them paid over $250K/year. C'mon guys. Get on the ball here.
