Straight Outta PROvo...

Blogging is so '06. Blog-quitting is this years' blogging.
Stage One(a) The Prove-U of U
Distance- 100km-ish. Time- 3:20. Winner: Ryan Barrett. KOM: Ryan Barrett. Sprint Leader: Ryan Barrett. As noted in the "News"(does anyone read this part?), my training stage race started today. Yeah, it started a day late (and several bucks short) as I was still tired yesterday. Managed to beat myself over Suncrest (punishment for last weekend),up to the U, and in all the sprints. On the other hand, I got passed by a truck from "Hardwood Flooring Services", which felt vaguely familiar. Stage 1 (b) would be the reverse of the morning stage, but as we have a houseguest (Kelly's uncle is touring the west by motorbike), I will just cruise to the bus and get home thata way. Otherwise, I'll be too tired to be a good host and that just ain't right.

$10 says he mentions me less often than I mention him (and J-Rad).

Sandy can't take me up on that bet as he could probably skew the results in his favor.

Oh yeah, and I never mentioned that Sleevie crashed hard in the crit. at Get High Uintas.  It sucked and he had to go for a bambulance (yes, a bambulance) ride.  He managed to show up at awards and we had to talk him into taking more than a day off his bike.  Maybe it was the drugs talking, but despite the blood, I am pretty sure he is not human.  Oh, and if you think he looked bad off, you should see the curb he took out.

glad to hear Sleevie is ok. i was unfortunate enough to be about 4 guys behind him and witness the carnage entirely. he barely missed the cement porch stairs of a house. i wasn't surprised to see the paramedics there the next lap because he went down hard.

not only the cement steps, but he stopped about a foot before hitting the cement foundation of the house too.  there is no doubt he is pretty lucky.

And by that I am sure you mean, "There is no doubt the house is pretty lucky".

Right back at ya, baby!!  BTW, did you ride Stage 6 on Tuesday?  Anyone else out there, I am looking to do an epic ride in the mountains Saturday if you are up for it.
P.S.- Stage 1(b) was pretty much a wash.  I still won, but it was pretty slow going.
