Straight Outta PROvo...

Blogging is so '06. Blog-quitting is this years' blogging.
Believe Tyler!!

In a continuation of yesterday's rant; I am wondering how people who put money down at the Believe Tyler website are feeling now.  How about those who stood in line to get his autograph at Interbike(post positive)?  If you haven't read, in this whole "Puerto Operation" deal-io, they found details for his doping program for the whole of 2004.  Who knew Tour hopefuls had to start with the Epo waay back in Nov./Dec.?  On the other hand, this may explain why a millionaire had to have a website for people to pay for his legal expenses.  I mean paying 40,000 Euros a year for drugs is not cheap.  No wonder he kept going with a broken c-bone... Just like at the buffet, you gotta get your money's worth, even if it hurts.

Just so you don't get the wrong idea here, I don't completely blame the riders.  The situation they are in seems pretty much if you want a job, you have to be willing to tow the party line.  Or at least, if you want to make any money.  I get that.  I might think they could look for something else to do, but I can see how giving up getting paid to ride bikes might be hard.  Believe that.  I have more of problem with the doctors, managers, etc. who are involved.  Still, I can't believe the audacity of the rider's to keep proclaiming their innocense after going positive or being found with drugs better.  And I don't really think they are for your dog, your grandma, or your diabetic soigneur either.

That's all for now, I guess.

After seeing the evidence on velonews yesterday, I can't help but wonder what amazing story he will come up with to explain it away.  I waited at interbike for a signed poster of him with his olympic medal.  It came down off the wall a long time ago, but with the recent avalanche of evidence against him - anyone have a good idea for its disposal?

J-Rad- For the record, I have never spell-checked a blog and that is the first time someone has called me out on spelling.  Congrats.

Joey- First time commentator, thanks for that.  You can always paint devil horns on him and put him back on the wall... be sure to put a grave with "RIP Tugboat" somewhere on there too.  Seriously, I don't think he's the devil incarnate or anything, but maybe it is time to lose the "nice guy" image.  His suspension is up in a couple months, and I'm SURE there will be a line of teams waiting.  He needs to comeback with a new image.  Ideas anyone?

Tyler posters might be used for a dart board with darts shaped like syringes. Hey, what a great business idea!

Start with Hamilton this week for only $19.95, followed by Heras, Millar, Armstrong for only $9.95 each. But wait, it doesn't stop there. In just one season you can collect the whole peloton. Makes a great demotivator(R) for that burned out boyfriend, dad or husband who just can't seem to decide between riding his bike and working on the house.
