Straight Outta PROvo...

Blogging is so '06. Blog-quitting is this years' blogging.
What's 'Cracking Baby...

Yeah, I've been a little out of the blog gaming scene lately.  What can I say, I got busy.  Too busy to blog?  I guess not, I just chose to use my time in other ways.

Anyway, Sleevie, Nate and Ash went to the UCA awards on Saturday.  Apparently, Nate got a hat for 3rd overall, and there was nothing for team overall.  Glad we bothered to keeping score then.  Sleever picked up my sweet hoodie.  It says "Ryan Barrett 2006 UT State Road Champion".  I am thinking I am going to wear it all the time and whenever I meet someone I will introduce myself, "Hey, Ryan Barrett- 2006 Utah State Road Champ (baby!!)".  Big ups to Sleever for hand delivering it to my door.

BTW, Sleevie right after you left, Haley wouldn't stop saying "Bye, Sleevie!!, Bye Sleevie, Bye Sleevie!!", so I think she's got the nicky down.

In other news, it appears I have a new gig.  This is extraordinarily good news as I was starting to sweat.  Just waiting for the official offer to grace my Inbox, so I can put in my two-weeks.  More on that later...

Dad's visit was pretty sweet.  As big sis put it, it's hard to get mad at someone who is constantly praising your children.  I am a little worried about the old timer as he was sleeping an extraordinarily large amount.  I also had to go find him during the AB ride, so I missed the bit on top.  Dad is recovering from cancer, I think, so anytime something is weird I get nervous.  He doesn't talk about it, so I never know what's really going on. Looking for him gave me some time to reflect on my own though.  Did the ride with Haley in the trailer with a flat trailer tire... didn't have a spare 16" tube.  Big ups to the Husla  for the pushes.

In other news, Haley is potty-training starting today, so Kelly is surely having a fun time.

I haven't been riding at all for the last week... told you I was busy.  It's getting pretty depressing though so I think I'll roll out with Sleevie and Bryson as they mount one last attack on the Alpine Loop for the year.  I won't do the whole ride though as I'm concentrating my time elsewhere for the moment.  Pre-ride, we three are meeting with my man from Sienna Development.  We may not be known as Sienna Development again next year, but he will for surely be involved, so that is good as gold.

Sincerely,

Ryan Barrett

2006 UT State Road Champ

Oh yeah, if I haven't posted this in enough places, the Racer's group ride will kill Sleevie's "For Liar's Only" Sandy group ride.

I totally want to make this like a gang war east coast west coast deal.

The UC is where it's at and don't forget it.

Kiss my Ass!!!!

I put in 4-6 hours a day for the past three weeks putting together the awards program you didn't bother to show up for.  It was my idea that you even got a hoodie in the first place.  And in the past, top 3 got a stem cover if anything at all. So stop the bitching and sarcasism.  I'm expecting my 2nd child this week, but I still felt it was important to put this all together. Much to the chagrin of my very pregnant wife.  The evening was a nice evening to celebrate each others successes. Its not about a $5 hat.

I hearby pass the torch to the Sienna Development team to do better next year. You can now spend 3-6 hours a week maintaining the results and responding to peoples emails. So now instead of spending all your time on your pointless blog, you can actually do some good with your time.

I'm done, I don't need to take time away from my family for unappreciative pricks like you. You can take over........because I'm done!

Hey Todd,

Perhaps I was unclear.  I really like the sweatshirt.  I do feel that something, even a piece of paper with "Team Overall 2006" would have been a nice touch because that is obviously an area where our team puts a lot of emphasis.  I am sorry to have offended you regarding Nate's hat.  I would think you could see a little humor in the amount of time we put into the sport and the reward being a hat.  I don't mean that to in any way take away from your efforts, but I think most people would think we (meaning not just our team, but you and anyone else involved) are crazy for the amount of time and effort put in.

Regarding the banquet, the guys said it was great.  I hope you can accept my apologies.

And good luck with the new babe.
