Straight Outta PROvo...

Blogging is so '06. Blog-quitting is this years' blogging.
Veird, yah, strange.

We had more snow in PROvo than in SLC this morning.  That never happens.

Happy birthday to The Sleevie.  He is finally 18, ladies (and gentlemen).

On that note, I am voting for him as most likely Utahan to get a P-R-O contract in the next year... Or to hurt himself really badly so that he doesn't get a contract.  One or the other.  Fingers crossed he keeps it more or less upright in all his adventures.

Yeah, we had no snow on the ground this morning.  I was pumped but the kids were bummed since I told them we'd probably wake up to a few inches.

It would be sweet if both Sleevie and Norm get hooked up with a contract in the not so distant future.

Ummm, yeah, what REALLY needs to happen is for a Utah based team to form to support these and other bro-dudes coming up.  A home team for ToU, like Jittery Joe's for TGA.  Unfortunately, I am unwilling to work on this deal full-time or even much of any time, but it should really happen.  If you have oodles of cash laying around, and want to support pro biking in Utah, give me a shout.  That's what I call a proposal.

Ok, I just read in some other blogs where it's "too cold" to ride.  Boo-hoo.  You just inspired me to get my lunch ride on.

Toughen up.  If it is too cold, just carry a log on your back, that is how Rocky won the Cold War.

Did you really ride today at lunch?  If so I'm impressed.  We're getting some serious snow downtown.  When was the last time you saddled up on the indoor trainer?

Yeah, I am a knucklehead and I got nailed for it. Nothing to be impressed by.  I rode the trainer 3 or 4 X last winter.

that is more of a solicitation than a proposal!

I hear solicitation gets you in trouble, so I was trying to avoid that.

I am like Nostradamas except far more correct in my prophesies... Sleevie took himself out once again and has a bunch of stitches in his shin.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery birthday boy.

Yes.. you cursed me by writing this before I went boarding.

I can't beleive it Negrodamas.  You were dead on.

Curses... Did you see all of that snow out there.  I'm stuck in the house and the Bird is overflowing.  Damn stitches.  Damn me.

I should probably apologize, but instead I'll say that I passed on the conspiracy.  How did that one rock happen to end up where you fell?

Well... life just happens that way.. and for the record, I kept it upright the whole time, never went down.  It was steep enough to where I could peg my shin but still be on my toes...  I even took another run not realizing the damage.  I figured it out when I got to the car and pulled up my pant leg.

You see.. I'm smart like that.

You are one tough mug...

Speaking of tuff-ness, or lack thereof, I rode the trainer today... forgot my ear coverage, and didn't want to lose an ear.

Ok, Sleevie, go ahead and tell the story of the time you had to sew your own ear on.

Did you ride the trainer at work?  That is an idea I have been toying with but haven't acted on yet.

Yeah.

Oh yeah, and praise Jebus for allowing Genvieve Jeanson a chance to race again.  She is truly an inspiration.

For what I'm not sure.

Or maybe I am just bitter because I have NEVER out time trialed her.  One time she only got me by a second, and she had a TT bike and I was on my road bike w/ clip-ons.

Wait, did I just make an excuse?

Oops, I did it again... Rode the trainer two days in a row now.  I see the point of time taken getting dressed v. time spent pedalling.

Holy crapoli...Three days in a row.  I think last year's "record" is going down.
