DNF's in Stage Race receive 0 UCA Points - Canyon Bicycles

DNFs in stage races will receive no UCA stage points. Riders must complete all stages to receive points for individual stages.

I disagree wholeheartedly.  Let's say somebody wins the first two stages of a three stage weekender, and then crashes out of the final stage.  We already live in an area where the norm is no prize money for the stages, now you want to take away the points they earned as well?  Personally, I think stages should be given more points.  A stage WIN to me is worth more than 4th on G.C.

I disagree with this one, too. There are many local riders who don't race on Sunday--take away points for individual stages and they have no reason to show up at all. We want bigger fields whenever we can get them.

I don't disagree wtih this. In the past 20 + years that I have raced all over the western US you have to finish a race to be counted and to receive points. What makes UT so special that we need to make a rule just because someone has something to do on Sunday? My wife has to work on Saturdays. So I'm not able to start SR on Saturdays. So can I just race the Sunday race for the UCA points? NO you have to start and finish stage 1 to start stage 2 and so on. We all have choices in life, family, work, church and other things.
