so when you gonna update????  everyone checks here for what's going on at the dmv, and this a big time drop of the ball....

Are you serious baa???? It's Thursday morning, so its obviously over now! You can see in the previous posts to this thread that it was canceled. I was at the course at 5:15 and we deemed the course unsafe for racing. I sent an email to theUCA@googlegroups.com alerting of the cancelation. If you ever want to get ahold of me directly on Wednesdays to find out if the race is still on, you can call or text 8016518333 or email me at cdcarter44@msn.com. I would suggest making sure you are a subscriber to the UCA google group for important updates.

It would be nice if you could call every person who might possibly come out to race and give us updates.  Every 30 minutes throughout the day would be sufficient.  A message sent out to the google group seems so impersonal.

I think all UCA plate holders should also be required to purchase a RMR/DMV updater iPhone app for $99.95 (only $49.95 for juniors). Naturally iPhone purchase would also be required (20% discount if purchased through SBO by Feb. 30, 2010). That would definitely solve all the cancellation problems and misunderstandings (except if the app didn't actually work or the person in charge of updating the updater didn't know how to do it right, but we need to start somewhere right?). Together we can stop the crisis!

 

LOL! Common, what about the Blackberry? We could have an app for that too

WOW, all i cometed for was to see some accountability......  your post stated you would update by 3pm.  at 6:14 somone else had to comment to say the race was cancled...

i guess all i'm trying to say is do what you say your going to do, that way people won't show up to a race only to find out it's been cancled.  remember this is the only place people have to check to see if DMV is happening.  yes i am on the uca email list, no i didn't recieve an email stating DMV was cancled, however i do every time marek sends an email letting everyone know RMR's status.

people like to go to DMV to race, help them do so by means of posting current info if the weather is questionable.

FYI...baa is not Billy Allen.  I can prove it...my middle initial is n.  Actually it's a capital N.
